Key responsibilities
  • Define platform vision and intent: translating business priorities into a clear articulation of what the platform must achieve, in business language, not technical milestones
  • Shape strategic roadmaps: capability sequencing, dependency mapping, value-first phasing, and resource planning that balances quick wins with foundational investment
  • Own governance and architecture: Architecture Decision Records, reusable design standards and patterns, and decision frameworks that scale with the platform
  • Manage technical debt before it compounds: surface it early, prioritise resolution, and keep architecture choices traceable to strategic intent
  • Run Platform Health Reviews that catch misalignment before it becomes remediation cost
  • Set the alignment model in motion: defining how business sponsors, product owners, and platform architects interact, and who owns which decisions
  • Provide senior architectural direction across the ServiceNow estate: ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps, App Engine, and the AI and agentic layer
  • Work with our co-founders and senior team to keep architect-first delivery real on every engagement

    Required skills
  • 10+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience, with a track record of architecting complex, multi-module implementations
  • Deep, current platform fluency across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, SecOps and App Engine or any other specialization and a real grasp of where AI and agentic capabilities now fit
  • Genuine business fluency: you can sit with a sponsor, understand the outcome being bought, and translate it into platform design, not wait to be handed requirements
  • Strong command of architectural governance: decision records, design standards, technical debt management, platform health
  • The seniority and credibility to be the final word on architecture in a room of stakeholders, and to defend a design decision to both business and technical audiences
  • A conviction that architecture designed right from the start produces fundamentally different outcomes than build-to-spec delivery
  • Comfort working AI-first using modern delivery accelerators to cut time-to-value
  • Excellent written and spoken English; based in NL, with the right to work in the Netherlands
  • CTA or CMA is a strong plus. But deep, demonstrable platform experience can stand in its place
